Two bills recently introduced in the House would make it easier for federal employees to use rideshare companies such as Uber Technologies Inc. and Lyft Inc. At least one of the bills is a direct response to Metrorail’s SafeTrack program, which requires lengthy shutdowns of parts of the Washington, D.C., commuter rail system to fix safety problems.

The contest was launched by the Congressional Internet Caucus, a bipartisan group of more than 100 members of the House and Senate, and is sponsored by the Internet Education Foundation, a nonprofit that promotes democracy through technology. It was first piloted in 2014, and Reps. Seth Moulton (D-Mass.) and Ed Royce (R-Calif.) will oversee the competition.

Massachusetts Democratic Rep. Seth Moulton, a former Marine and vocal advocate for Afghan interpreters, introduced an amendment to the NDAA specifically aimed at continuing and expanding the SIV program.
In a push for gun reform, Sixth District Congressman Seth Moulton, D-Salem, started to read aloud the names of victims involved in mass shootings just in 2016 on the well of the House floor in the nation's Capitol Thursday morning.
Fellow congressmen came forward with pictures of shooting victims as Moulton, a four-tour Iraq War Marien Corps infantry officer veteran, read out loud the names and ages of the victims.
