Trump Administration Response

The Trump Administration is unveiling a dizzying array of executive actions every day. I am hearing from constituents who are extremely concerned about how these policies will impact their lives. My team and I are on top of the developments and are prepared to take action when and where we can.

On this page you can also find a running list of legislative actions, statements, and interviews I am doing in response to the Trump administration. This list will be updated frequently.

Congressman Moulton would like to hear from YOU about how you are being affected by the Trump Administration. Share your story with our team here.

Selected Legislation:

  • Taxpayer Data Protection Act: House Democrats have introduced legislation to protect the sensitive information of the American public and essential benefits like Social Security and Medicare.
  • H.R. 492, the Saving the Civil Service Act. This bill would prevent converting career, merit-based federal government jobs to political appointment positions.
  • Access to Reproductive Care for Servicemembers Act: Would codify a Department of Defense policy implemented under Biden but stripped back under Trump that allows servicemembers living in states with extreme abortion bans to take leave to access reproductive health care.
  • Ending DOGE Conflicts Act: Would require Elon Musk, who is currently serving as a ‘Special Government Employee’ while also controlling companies with billions of dollars in government contracts, to file a public financial disclosure and face review for his potential conflicts of interest by the independent Office of Government Ethics.
  • Public Education Resolution: Advocates for protecting local public schools and condemns any attempt to defund public education or dismantle the Department of Education, like what Trump and Project 2025 have proposed.
  • Office of Management and Budget Inspector General Act: Would create an Office of Inspector General within OMB to ensure that a nonpartisan watchdog is in place to oversee OMB’s work.
  • Public Service Freedom to Negotiate Act: Would secure the rights of public employees to organize, act concertedly, and bargain collectively, which safeguard the public interest and promote the free and unobstructed flow of commerce, and for other purposes.
  • Protecting Americans’ Social Security Data Act: Protects the personal information of Social Security recipients by blocking Elon Musk and others from misusing their data, and strengthens penalties for anyone who violates that privacy.
  • Protect our Probationary Employees Act:  Would allow probationary federal employees who have been fired to resume their probationary or trial periods with the seniority they accrued from their previous jobs if they were rehired by the government.
