Constituent Success Stories

My Constituent Services team works hard to provide assistance to residents up and down the North Shore and across MA-06. Here are a few of their recent success stories.

A veteran named Dan reached out to my office looking for help navigating the housing system. After months of living in his truck, he needed to find more stable housing nearby before winter set in. By connecting Dan with the Department of Veterans Affairs and local veterans organizations, we were able to help Dan get access to a Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing voucher so he could afford an apartment and live close enough to spend time with his son.

A small business owner named Kat reached out to my office with concerns regarding her son’s application for student financial aid. Her son’s Social Security Number had previously been compromised, leading to challenges accessing the FAFSA application. By coordinating with the Social Security Administration, the team was able to get the compromise flagged, unlock access to the FAFSA form, and then coordinate with the Department of Education to rectify the missed application deadline for aid as a result of the form lockout. As a result, Kat's son was able to return to school that semester and successfully access his financial aid instead of having to put his education on pause.

“Danielle was such an amazing advocate for our family.  We couldn’t have done it without her and Seth Moulton’s office.”

A constituent named Johnson requested assistance obtaining visas for his five siblings so they could come to the U.S. to attend their mother's funeral. The office connected with the U.S. Embassy and sent letters supporting their cases. Their visas were approved and Johnson's siblings were able to join him for the services. Before returning home, Johnson's siblings stopped by the District Office in Salem to thank my staff in person.

"The Office of Congressman Seth Moulton was very influential in brokering for visas for my siblings to attend our mum's funeral; Claudia and her team are awesome".

A mom named Nicole contacted my office for assistance expediting a passport for her daughter. Her family was traveling to Costa Rica for a holiday mission trip to provide children with food and toys for the holidays. After we helped her process and expedite the application, the passport was lost in the mail. The team worked with the Boston Passport Agency to secure her a last minute appointment days before the trip, and Nicole's daughter was able to successfully secure her passport and make the trip.

“Congressman Moulton’s office went above and beyond for my family and we appreciate all they did for us”

-Nicole
