WASHINGTON — Following the incidents of racial profiling in Danvers and Beverly, Representative Seth Moulton released the following statement

“In just about a week, my office has received reports of at least two incidents of racial profiling in the Sixth District. Both incidents were directed at members of our Black community. I shouldn’t have to say this, but let me be perfectly clear: Racism, racial profiling and any form of discrimination have absolutely no place in our community or anywhere else.

Lynn, Mass. – Today, Representative Seth Moulton (D-MA) announced that Lynn Community Health Center was awarded $524,964 through a grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). 

These funds will be used to directly help vulnerable populations in the city of Lynn. Through this grant, Lynn Community Health Center will be able to provide medication assisted treatment for recently released incarcerated and homeless individuals.

WASHINGTON  The Afghan refugees evacuated and resettled in the United States are facing a new challenge: they’re not eligible for the government benefits America traditionally provides refugees because of the rushed evacuation. Today, Representatives Seth Moulton (D-MA) and Don Bacon (R-NE) introduced the Welcoming Evacuees Coming from Overseas to Mitigate Effects of Displacement Act of 2021, also known as the WELCOMED Act, to fix the problem.

SALEM (CBS) – A former Afghan interpreter and U.S. soldier says his family is safe and out of Afghanistan, crediting Rep. Seth Moulton for their rescue. 

Said Noor is breathing much easier now that his family has been evacuated from Afghanistan safely. “The burden is off my shoulders you know I feel so much relief,” Noor explained.His brother sent him a selfie from the airport. 

“He is like I keep pinching myself,” Noor said. “I keep thinking I’m dreaming.”

In the dark of night, Said Noor’s family members left their homes in Kabul, Afghanistan, on Friday, headed for a gas station where they would be picked up and brought to Hamid Karzai International Airport.

They met with a Marine and other families who were escaping and gave him the predetermined code words: “Tom Brady.”
