WASHINGTON – Today, the House of Representatives passed Congressman Seth Moulton’s Young Fishermen's Development Act, a bill Moulton (D-MA) introduced with Rep. Don Young (R-AK) in 2017 and reintroduced with Rep. Young and Rep Jared Golden (D-ME) last year. The bill creates a national grant program to support the training and education of the nation’s next generation of commercial fishermen.

WASHINGTON– Today, Representative Seth Moulton (MA-06) introduced the American High-Speed Rail Act, which would invest $205 billion federal dollars into high-speed rail, create at least 2.6 million direct American jobs over five years, and provide Americans with a new travel option that’s safer than driving, cleaner than flying and never delayed by weather. Representatives Brendan Boyle (PA-02) and Suzan DelBene (WA-01) joined Moulton as original sponsors of the bill.

WASHINGTON – Today, the United States House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed the ALS Disability Insurance Access Act, a bill introduced by Representatives Seth Moulton (D-MA) and Peter King (R-NY). It has already passed the Senate and heads next to the White House where the president is expected to sign it into law.

WASHINGTON – Today, the United States Senate passed the ALS Disability Insurance Access Act, a companion bill to Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) legislation, H.R. 1407. The bill would eliminate the five-month waiting period before ALS patients can receive Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits. After the vote, Moulton called on the House of Representatives to bring the bill to the floor before the end of the year.

WASHINGTON — Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi selected Representative Seth Moulton (D-MA) for a key committee that negotiates the final passage of the FY 21 National Defense Authorization Act.

Moulton said, “Massachusetts has a proud, patriotic history and has always played an outsized role in the nation’s defense. More than 200,000 people in New England work on defense projects funded by Congress, in particular in developing the next-generation technologies to keep our troops safe overseas and our families safe at home.”
