LYNN — She sells homes for a living, but Eileen Jonah-Daly will join other agents in Washington D.C. today to meet with members of Congress to champion the real estate industry.

The National Association of Realtors and their legion of brokers will continue to fight to preserve homeowner tax deductions. They will meet over the next week with U.S. Rep. Seth Moulton and other supporters.

“He is 100 percent for creating homes affordable to veterans and middle-class workers,” Jonah-Daly said of the Salem Democrat.

LYNN — It has the potential to unlock billions in gleaming residential and commercial real estate projects and transform the Lynnway.

But without it, there’s a chance development will stall.

At issue is whether the MBTA’s River Works Station at the General Electric Co. plant on Western Avenue will open to the public. Today, the T only stops at the factory on the Newburyport/Rockport Line for GE employees. The Conn.-based corporate giant owns the station and the commuter rail picks up and drops off employees as a courtesy.

A trio of Massachusetts congressmen, including U.S. Rep. Seth Moulton, are pressing the Obama administration to stand up for Massachusetts lobstermen and lobster dealers in the international trade tiff with Sweden.
