Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump announced Wednesday that he plans to meet with officials from the National Rifle Association about preventing people on the federal "no fly" or terror watch lists from buying firearms.
On Tuesday, Massachusetts Rep. Seth Moulton tweeted a picture of himself in fatigues and holding a military rifle. He's a Marine veteran who served four tours of duty in Iraq. Along with the picture he wrote, "I know assault rifles. I carried one in Iraq. They have no place on America's streets."\

A courageous Massachusetts congressman named Seth Moulton, an Iraq war Marine veteran, has just called for a ban on all assault weapons such as the one the killer used in Florida. I salute Moulton for his stance.

The city councilors voted 7 to 0 Tuesday to send a letter to Gov. Charlie Baker, asking him to reconsider his decision not to fund a third summer of service. The administration denied Lynn’s request for about $700,000 in operating expenses earlier this month. Councilor Peter Capano said the ferry is an important option to quickly transport commuters from Lynn to Boston.
