The Salem News: Moulton Backs Healey on Guns

Congressman Seth Moulton, D-Salem, was quick to come to the defense of Attorney General Maura Healey this week in her effort to get assault weapons off the streets of the commonwealth. Noted Moulton in a tweet Tuesday: “Even SCOTUS (the U.S. Supreme Court) agrees: “An assault weapons ban is not inconsistent with the 2nd Amendment.” Moulton’s position was in stark contrast with what some are calling a flip-flop by Gov. Charlie Baker on the issue. Baker initially supported Healey’s effort, then backed off in the face of protests by pro-gun activists.”
