WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressmen Seth Moulton (MA-06) and James E. Clyburn (SC-06) reintroduced the Sgt. Isaac Woodard, Jr. and Sgt. Joseph H. Maddox G.I. Bill Restoration Act.

President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the G.I. Bill into law in 1944. This landmark legislation represented a promise to all who fought for our country that their sacrifice would be rewarded with a range of benefits, including low-cost mortgages and low-interest loans to start a business or farm, unemployment compensation, and education assistance.

To mark the one-year anniversary of Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, Congressman Seth Moulton authored a new op-ed, published today in the Boston Globe. Congressman Moulton has visited Ukraine twice in recent years (in December 2021 before the invasion and almost exactly a year later in December 2022).

Washington, D.C. – Reps. Seth Moulton (D-Mass.) and Mike Gallagher (R-Wisc.) re-introduced the Motor Carrier Safety Selection Standard Act. This bipartisan bill will boost the safety of American roads and highways by requiring the Department of Transportation to enact a Safety Fitness Determination test for the trucking industry and requiring manufacturing and shipping companies to ensure their trucking partners are appropriately licensed, registered, and insured.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Seth Moulton has been selected by House leadership to serve on the newly-established House Select Committee on China. The House voted to create this committee in early January on a bipartisan basis. It will focus on the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) economic, technological, and security priorities and ongoing competition with the United States. Committee members will make policy recommendations to strengthen U.S. security and the rules-based international order.

Washington, D.C. — Congressman Moulton has joined the newly formed Congressional Dads Caucus, a forum for Members of Congress to advocate for legislation that supports working families. 

Congressman Moulton is a dad of two daughters under the age of five. He was one of the first members of Congress to take paternity leave for the birth of his first daughter in 2018, and took leave again when his second was born in 2021. He is a strong supporter of paid family leave and has advocated for expanding the Family and Medical Leave Act.
