SALEM — Congressman Seth Moulton, who made mental health care for veterans and others a hallmark of his short run for president last year, invited a local mental health and suicide prevention advocate as his guest for Tuesday night's State of the Union address.

Moulton's guest was Kim Burditt, senior manager of programs and logistics for suicide prevention at the Washington, D.C.-based national nonprofit Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors. TAPS supports those grieving the loss of a loved one whose life included military service.

The arrest this week of a Harvard University chemistry professor for lying about his ties to China is shedding renewed light on the institutes and ratcheting up pressure for colleges to close them.

WASHINGTON — Today, federal agents arrested Dr. Charles Lieber, Chair of Harvard University's Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology. He was charged with lying to investigators about his participation in China’s Thousand Talents Plan, which recruits researchers including Americans with access to sensitive intellectual property and other information of interest to America’s adversaries.

WASHINGTON — Today, following the announcement of the Trump Administration’s Israel proposal, Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) made the following statement: 

This is not a peace plan. It’s a distraction—from Israel’s investigation into Netanyahu and America’s investigation into Trump.

Prime Minister Netanyahu’s plan to exchange permanent settlements in contested territories for votes is unacceptable. It distracts and detracts from a truly lasting peace through a two-state solution negotiated in good faith.
