WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Seth Moulton (MA-06) has selected six honorees for the 10th annual Peter J. Gomes Service Award. Created in 2016 by Congressman Moulton, the award recognizes the public service and community contributions of constituents across Massachusetts’ 6th District.

These six members of our community demonstrate the integrity, compassion, and commitment to community that were characterized by the Congressman’s late mentor, Reverend Professor Peter J. Gomes.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Seth Moulton (MA-06) today issued the following statement regarding his decision to vote against the National Defense Authorization Act. As a member of the House Armed Services Committee, Moulton plays an active role in the creation of this annual, must-pass legislation, which dictates our nation’s defense priorities and has historically been a bipartisan process.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - On Wednesday, September 3, the House Natural Resources Subcommittee on Water, Wildlife, and Fisheries held a hearing on Congressman Seth Moulton’s (D-MA) bill to reauthorize the Young Fishermen’s Development Act. Moulton’s bipartisan legislation is co-led with Congressman Nick Begich (R-AK). During the hearing, Congressman Moulton submitted a written statement into the record, calling on the committee’s members to support the reauthorization of the legislation for an additional five years. 

WASHINGTON, D.C. - On Wednesday, September 3, the House of Representatives passed Congressman Seth Moulton’s (D-MA) amendment to the annual Energy and Water Appropriations Bill, calling on the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to finish the Essex River Federal Navigation Project (FNP). 

Washington, DC -- Representatives Seth Moulton (D-MA), Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA), Pat Ryan (D-NY), Jimmy Panetta (D-CA), Chris Deluzio (D-PA), and Eugene Vindman (D-VA) – all U.S. military veterans – sent a letter to Israeli Ambassador Yechiel Leiter expressing “serious concern with the dire humanitarian aid situation in Gaza” and calling on Israel to “flood Gaza with humanitarian aid" to take away the leverage that scarce aid has provided to Hamas. 

Salem, Mass. – Rep. Seth Moulton will hold a press conference on the impacts of President Trump’s “Big, Beautiful Bill” on local nursing home residents and providers. The presser will be held at Rosewood Nursing Home in Peabody (22 Johnson St) at approximately 2:30 PM. 

Rep. Moulton will be joined by Rosewood’s Executive Director and Medical Director. Additional participants will be finalized on Wednesday.
