LOWELL -- Middlesex Community College has received a $444,581 federal grant to boost technology that will offer greater insight into student success.

BEVERLY — A $1.4 million grant to Endicott College — the largest federal grant the small private college said it has ever received — will spur construction of a new life science and business incubator center on campus that will be run through a partnership with North Shore InnoVentures, a Beverly-based biotech and cleantech incubator.
LYNN -- The Army's Black Hawk and Apache helicopter fleet may soon be powered by engines designed in Lynn, as U.S. Rep. Seth Moulton announced last week that the Army has awarded a two-year contract to GE Aviation.
More than 100 engineers, most of them based at the GE Aviation facility in Lynn, will work on the design of the GE3000 -- a 3,000-shaft horsepower engine that Moulton's office said "will provide advanced turboshaft propulsion capability" for Black Hawk and Apache helicopters.
