Since long before Trump was elected to a second term, I have been extremely concerned about how he will trample on the rights of transgender Americans and other minorities. Oftentimes Trump and his Republican enablers seem to act purely out of hatred, and there is no question that their political stunts put vulnerable Americans at risk. Transgender individuals, in particular, have faced significant adversity, experiencing discrimination, hate crimes, attempts to limit bodily autonomy, and worsened mental health as a result.

Today, I voted against the “Continuing Resolution” that will keep the federal government funded through the end of September. We need to see whether the Senate will now vote for the bill, but I want to explain why I voted against it.

Everyone at DOGE should love the first law I passed through Congress. The “Faster Care for Veterans Act” did just that, getting veterans into VA appointments more quickly and using technology to do so—a great example of making government more efficient.

I just sent a bipartisan letter with Congressman Don Bacon of Nebraska to VA Secretary Doug Collins calling for detailed responses to questions about who may have been let go and exactly how the administration plans to keep the VCL operating at its full capacity.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Congressman Russ Fulcher (R-Idaho) and Congressman Seth Moulton (D-Massachusetts) have introduced the Informing Consumers About Smart Devices Act.

The bipartisan bill, H.R. 859, would require manufacturers of internet-connected smart appliances such as dishwashers, refrigerators, and dryers to disclose to consumers when their product is equipped with a camera or microphone that is not otherwise self-evident.
