Moulton to Participate in Gloucester 400+ U.S. Naturalization Ceremony on Friday, September 22nd

GLOUCESTER, MA — On Friday, September 22nd, Congressman Seth Moulton will participate in three events and site visits in Gloucester and Rockport. 

In honor of the Gloucester 400+, Moulton will speak at a special U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services naturalization ceremony at 11:00 AM in Stage Fort Park. 

Next, Moulton will visit the Sawyer Free Library in Gloucester ahead of its planned renovations. Moulton recently nominated the library for the prestigious National Medal of Museum and Library Service. 

Moulton will also visit Rockport’s wastewater treatment plant to discuss the $960,000 in funding for critical public safety upgrades that he is fighting to deliver as part of the annual federal spending package.

Gloucester 400+ Naturalization Ceremony 

WHEN: 11:00 AM ET

WHAT: The Congressman will participate in a U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services naturalization ceremony. He will be offering remarks.

WHERE: Stage Fort Park, Beneath Table Rock (24 Hough Ave, Gloucester, MA)

Sawyer Free Library Site Visit 

WHEN: 12:00 PM ET

WHAT: Moulton will visit Sawyer Free Library as it prepares for its upcoming renovations. In honor of the Gloucester 400+, Moulton also recently nominated the library as well as the Cape Ann Museum for the prestigious National Medal for Museum and Library Service.

Rockport Wastewater Treatment Plant Site Visit 

WHEN: 1:00 PM ET

WHAT: Congressman Moulton is working to ensure that the town of Rockport receives $960,000 in Community Project Funding to upgrade its Wastewater Treatment Plant. The town will repair and replace a sewer pipe, pump station, and make necessary upgrades to its wastewater treatment plant. The project will ensure the system can operate as required, maintain sanitation, and protect public health. 

The project is one of thirteen selected by Moulton to receive federal funding as part of the annual government spending bills. Moulton will discuss the impacts that the current political gridlock in Washington is having on the progress of funding this and other important local projects..
