Moulton Announces Nearly $900K Grant to Help Students with Autism
Moulton: “I applaud Pellet Productions, Inc. for identifying an innovative way to tackle educational challenges”
Salem, MA - Today, Congressman Seth Moulton (D-MA) announced that the National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded a grant worth $898,673.00 to Pellet Productions, Inc., a storytelling and digital strategy firm in Reading, to help students with autism. With the grant, Pellet Productions will produce a series of video-based educational materials for the professional development of educators and employers that builds awareness of academic and employer-based STEM programs aimed at promoting the college and workplace based success of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This project will also promote existing "best practices" to an expanded community of educational institutions, students with ASD and their families, and employers.
“I applaud Pellet Productions, Inc. for identifying an innovative way to tackle educational challenges”, said Moulton. I am proud to have helped secure this grant, which will expose many more individuals to best practices in helping individuals with autism achieve success in the classroom and at work. I look forward to supporting other programs like this, that use creative and innovative tools to promote academic and employer-based programs. Together, we can support families and prepare students for success in the classroom and in the modern economy.”
The National Science Foundation (NSF) supports research, innovation, and discovery aimed at providing the foundation for economic growth.
