The Salem News: Moulton to Host Federal Resource Forum

PEABODY — Congressman Seth Moulton will host a regional forum for businesses on Tuesday, bringing in representatives of 13 federal agencies to discuss the kinds of assistance they can provide.

The 6th District Economic Development Federal Resource Forum will be held Tuesday, Dec. 13, from 10 a.m. to noon at Peabody City Hall, 24 Lowell St.

Moulton, a Salem Democrat who was elected to his second term in November, will also discuss the impact of the Trump administration on local businesses and regional economic development.

 Moulton has invited the public to learn about federal resources to support small business assistance, transportation and housing, coastal resiliency, and technological innovation.

Local leaders invited to participate include Peabody Mayor Ted Bettencourt, Salem Mayor Kim Driscoll, Beverly Mayor Michael Cahill, Gloucester Mayor Sefatia Romeo Theken, Newburyport Mayor Donna Holaday, Lynn Mayor Judith Flanagan Kennedy and Amesbury Mayor Ken Gray.

The 13 federal agencies invited include: U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Economic Development Administration, U.S. Department of Labor, U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, U.S. Small Business Administration/SBIR, U.S. Department of Transportation, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, U.S. Commercial Service, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. General Services Administration, and the U.S. Department of Commerce NOAA.
