Appropriations Request

Each year, Congress sets spending levels for all federal programs and agencies through the appropriations process. Appropriations are annual decisions made by Congress that direct the federal government on how to spend its money. In general, the appropriations process addresses the discretionary portion of the federal budget – spending ranging from national defense and food safety, to education and research and development. This excludes mandatory spending, such as Medicare and Social Security, which is spent automatically.

As your Representative in Congress, Congressman Moulton can submit federal agency and program funding recommendations. Your input and participation are very helpful in determining which federal programs are most important to you and to your community in education, research, economic development, and other areas.

If you would like the Congressman to submit an appropriations request for Fiscal Year 2019, please complete this form to the best of your ability. Please submit your requests to our office by Wednesday, March 14th, 2018.
