A free and open internet should be the standard, not something we have to fight for
Washington, D.C. – Today, in response to the FCC voting to repeal Obama-era net neutrality protections, Congressman Seth Moulton (D-MA) released the following statement:
"A free and open internet should be the standard, not something we have to fight for. This ruling sends us down a dangerous path, where a few large corporations can control access to something Americans and small business owners rely on every single day. It takes power out of the hands of consumers and helps big businesses. We lost the battle today, but we didn't give up without a fight. And, the fight goes on tomorrow. If we can't convince President Trump's FCC that a free and open internet is a right, not a privilege, then we need to take back the Congress and pass a law to make it so.”
